Obama-Sestak "JobGate"

wfanning's picture

Despite efforts by the Administration to bury the story,
the Obama-Sestak JobGate scandal continues to grow.

In fact, recent admissions by the White House and
Congressman Sestak have only served to expose
inconsistencies in their story and raise more
questions that demand answers through an independent
investigation.

But perhaps the most important question remaining is...

Will grassroots Americans allow the Obama
team to bury the "JobGate" story? Or will
citizens demand an independent accounting
of what really happened?

The decision is in your hands.

ANOTHER HIGH PROFILE JOB OFFER?

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said at his briefing today that White House discussions with Democratic Colorado Senate hopeful Andrew Romanoff do not undercut the Obama administration's claims of transparency.

"I do believe we've been transparent, yes," Gibbs told reporters pressing him about revelations that White House deputy chief of staff Jim Messina called Romanoff to discuss jobs that "might be available" if Romanoff dropped his primary challenge. (In a response, the White House noted that Romanoff had previously applied for an administration job.)

The Obama Administration is moving full steam ahead with plans to take over your Internet.

Inside man's picture

The Obama Administration, in an effort to circumvent the courts, Congress and public opinion, is moving full steam ahead with plans to take over your Internet.

That's right.

First it was the auto industry, then the health care, energy and financial sectors. Now, Obama's Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has its sights set on the Internet, too.

Fortunately, House Minority Leader John Boehner is already calling on his fellow members of Congress to "act to reverse this unnecessary federal government power grab."

Specifically Boehner said:

President Obama Job Approval

A newpoll shows that Barack Obama's approval rating has reached a new all-time low of 42% (only 24% strongly approve). His disapproval rating now sits at 56% (44% strongly disapprove).

The huge gap between those strongly approving and disapproving of Obama indicates once again that all the energy is with the opposition--a key factor in election outcomes.

Additionally, as noted, the opposition to Obama's policies is far more widespread--often overwhelming--on nearly every issue.

Like an aging sports star who can't stay away from the game, Bill Clinton's direct role in the firestorm over President Obama's job offer to a lawmaker for a political favor has raised questions about whether the former president was used and abused by a cynical administration or whether he took advantage of the White House to burnish his legacy.

At the behest of White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, Clinton tried last summer to persuade Pennsylvania Rep. Joe Sestak to abandon his primary challenge to Sen. Arlen Specter by offering an executive branch post.

But in perhaps a sign of Clinton's fading influence, Sestak turned the offer down and whipped Specter in the primary last week.

Barack Obama’s Socialist Philosophy

Blogster's picture

by Jacob G. Hornberger

The central point of Barack Obama’s economic plan is to tax the rich in order the give money to the poor. Of course, this is nothing more than the core philosophy of the welfare state. It is also the core principle of socialism.

Sestak-gate:
Congressional office accepts reports of misbehavior from public

The heat is building on Rep. Joe Sestak, D-Pa., and the Obama White House to "come clean" over a conversation the congressman has described – repeatedly and on the record – as a job offer in exchange for dropping his primary campaign against White House favorite Sen. Arlen Specter, D-Pa., which if true could be a crime.
